Engagement is the process to discuss, learn and validate with People how to make an eDream happen. Enablement Competencies describes the competencies that have been proven to be effective with enablement.
Research
Understand in advance as much as possible about the person and their communities.
Empathy
What do you think their challenges are? How busy are they? What are they going to think of you? How can you provide them value?
Inquiry
Tee up the reason why they need to talk, help or become engaged.
Understand
Understand their world, challenge and the impact of the eDream, enablement or personal relationship.
Determine Requirements
What exactly is required to make the enablement of the eDream happen?
Validate
Repeat back or articulate other assumptions to validate.
Plussing
Ask open ended questions like: How would you do it? What could make this better?
