Is a simple statement of the desired meaningful outcome to be achieve that often includes the purpose and/or the inspiration. It may include references to who are the beneficiaries, how (solution) the mission will achieved and what (problem/unmet need) it is being addressed. A clearly defined mission provides direction, guidance and helps with determining priorities.

The mission is a Step 1 of the Enablement Process and Iteration Generator.
