Resources are physical, digital, people, financial, products and services realities that can impact people, communities (industries, organizations, locations or groups) and other realities. Resources are also required in the enablement of the eDream. The types of resources include:

  • Providers - people or organizations that provide essential roles (i.e., legal, accounting, web design) and are either paid for their services or expect some kind of future reimbursement.
  • Financial Resources
  • Human Resources - are the contributors that provide products, services and perform tasks of the activities
  • Infrastructure
  • Digital Resources (bits) - applications, sensors, communications, devices, processing, data storage
  • Physical Resources (atoms) - Natural resources (land, air, water), equipment and products
  • Products
  • Services - the infinite products, services, health, career, personal choices, health insurance, automobiles, cable, power,

Marketplaces are how we buy and sell goods. How we get #IncomeWork and secure resources. How we sell and deliver our services. For much of human existence, marketplaces resided in the town square and people developed trust face-to-face. We are now developing social trust in the online marketplaces to enable us to sell or buy from anyone anytime. Marketplaces are also a component of #IncomeWork realities.

For each resource, the following needs to be determined:

  • Time - How much time is required?
  • Availability - What is the availability? How do you access them?
  • Flexibility - What are the contingencies or nuances to the resource?
  • Cost - How much does it cost?

Dependencies are Activity Factors.

Digital Resources (bits)

  • Applications - Computer, smart phone or other device software applications.
  • Communications - Texting, video conferencing, email and chat via encrypted or protected communication.
  • Devices - Digital devices or digitally enabled products such as computers, tablets, cell phones or other wi-fi enabled devices
  • Processing - Web site, transactional processing, data analytics software and other information technology infrastructure to support processing
  • Infrastructure - internet, wifi
  • Storage - Online, offline storage, cloud, data base and other scalable ways to store digital data

  • Wireless - Cellular, Satellite
  • Electricity - power lines, power generation (solar, Wind, Hydro, Gas, Coal)

Physical Resources (atoms)

  • Natural Resources - Land, air, water, minerals, natural environment, etc.
  • Equipment - The equipment required to make an eDream happen.
  • Facilities - house or building
  • Transportation - cars, trucks, buses, trains,

Products

  • Food
  • Consumables

Services

  • Application Enabled Services - These are services that can be acquired and leveraged by simply going online and selecting them. They do not require tailoring speaking to a person and are available 24 hours per day.
  • Commercial Services - These are services that are generally available and required very little in the way of tailoring.
  • Personal Services - These services required developing an agreed Statement of Work (SOW) between the customer and provider.
  • Professional Services - These services required developing an agreed Statement of Work (SOW) between the customer and provider.
  • Tailored Services (Other) - These services required developing an agreed Statement of Work (SOW) between the customer and provider.
  • Utilities - Internet Access, Cellular Phone Service, Energy service, Cable Television Service, etc.
