Intro

  • Complexity - the unpredictability of many impacting elements operating, reacting and interacting in both certain and uncertain ways.
  • Impacting Elements - the people, realities and activities that can impact achieving a mission if they are not identified, understood, addressed and managed.
  • Complex Systems - are systems with complexity that makes them difficult to model or predict.
    • a. Number of elements - often too many for algoritms and/or logic
    • b. Unknown elements - difficult to know all of the impacting element
