A Transactional Relationship is a relationship based on mutual understanding, trust (credibility) and respect (competence). A transactional relationship could be with your boss, business client or even a family member. The relationship may not develop into an Interpersonal relationship, though it is very important (keep job, secure business deals, get along with a family member).
