#DecisionMakers are people that may be able say yes when everyone else says no and still get their way. There could be one #DecisionMaker or there could be millions if the eDream is to win a political campaign or sell a retail product. #DecisionMakers can be beneficiaries and aspirers as their decisions can decide the successful enablement of an eDream.

#DecisionMakers weigh the input from influencers, such as technical advisors, trusted advisors, stakeholders and those impacted by the decision, though they can decide whatever they want.

Here are the different types of ways decision by decision makers will be made:

  • Single Decision - decision makers have the sole responsibility for making the decision. They can say yes when everyone is saying no and still get their way.
  • Shared Single Decision - decision makers have a say (or vote) in the final decision. If they say yes, they still might not get their way.
  • Multiple Decisions - These are multiple separate decisions such as someones decision to buy a car, home or choose a college. In each of these decisions, the decision makers have the sole responsibility in making a decision.
  • Shared Multiple Decisions - These are multiple separate decisions that are made with more than one person.

The primary Decision Maker types:

#AcceptanceDecisionMakers

Acceptance Decision Makers are decision makers that decide whether the solution will be accepted and the beneficiary will adopt it. This must happen for the eDream to be successfully realized. The creation of the solution without commitment of the Acceptance Decision Makers Acceptance Decision Makers will risk that it will never be accepted or that it will need to be significantly modified to be accepted.

#CreationDecisionMakers

CreationDecisionMakers are decision makers that decide whether the solution will be created. This must happen for the successful enablement of the eDream will happen.

Investor Decision Makers

Investor Decision Makers are decision makers that decide whether to invest their time, money and/or resources that is critical for the eDream to happen. Investor Decision Makers expect something in return for the investment. They will likely want to feel confident that the plan to create the eDream will be successful prior to investing.
