Personal Missions are simple statements of the desired meaningful outcome someone wants to achieve that often includes the purpose and/or the inspiration behind it.
Examples
- Tony Fadell – to make an MP3 player that is easy use, easy to manage music and easy to legally buy music online. Fadell invented the iPod.
- Mike Feinberg and Dave Levin - had a desired outcome (mission) of their dream to improve the college graduation for disadvantaged students.
- Edward Jenner – to help his community that was ravaged by small pox. Jenner invented the small pox vaccine.
- Roya Mahboob - A young Afghan woman's mission to improve opportunity for millions of women has already improved many people's lives.
- Sonia Sotomayor - had a mission to become a judge and is now a justice on the United States Supreme Court.
- Craig Venter – to sequence the first human genome and map the approximately 20,000 – 25,000 genes. Venter sequenced first human genome in 2000.
